Apple’s MacRumours forum, which is closely monitoring Apple’s progress, found that clicking on Memoji symbols opens augmented reality mode with three collectible card symbols that can be requested.
Apple has had Memoji characters in its arsenal for several years, following the brand marketing of mascots and memes. At the conference, these cards will be presented as Web2 items only for collecting without any trading value.
But rumors about the potential of Apple Nft spread very quickly, amid the similarity of memes to RTFKT Studios’ CloneX avatars and animated maps from Gary Vaynerchuk’s VeeFriends Series 2 series.
During Apple’s earnings report for the first quarter of 2022, CEO Tim Cook said he hopes the community will embrace the metaverse and augmented reality technologies the company plans to invest in.
